Bangladesh supports the world’s largest population of Irrawaddy dolphins. However, this globally threatened species is being entangled in gillnets at unsustainable rates. WCS is working with fishing communities and government authorities to protect Irrawaddy dolphins so the country can serve as a global safety net for the species.
