WCS Bangladesh discovered a genetically distinct population of humpback dolphins in the coastal waters of Bangladesh. Although the size of this population is relatively large, they are threatened by entanglement in gillnets. WCS is working to protect this potential new species in the coastal waters of Bangladesh.
