Marine biodiversity in the Bay of Bengal is vital to Bangladesh's food security and economy. Meanwhile, entangling fishing gears threaten cetaceans, sharks, rays and turtles. Through a Citizens Science Fishermen Safety Network and Citizen Science Shark and Ray Data Collectors Network, WCS Bangladesh is working to balance growing human demands with the protection needs of among the world’s most threatened marine megafauna.
